As new fire starts progress across the west and northwest, Arizona continues to mobilize firefighters to multiple incidents throughout those areas.
Firefighters continue to secure up containment lines on the Constellation Fire and report containment at 68%. There was minimal growth on the fire overnight and was mapped today at 12,252 acres.
Fire has increased again in acreage due to outflow winds, but is now 30% contained
Unfavorable weather conditions, high fire danger, and continual fire activity means fire restrictions must go back in place on some state lands this weekend.
Sufficient monsoonal activity across the northern and southern portions of Arizona allow the Department of Forestry and Fire Management to lift fire restrictions within some state lands.
