Wood Utilization and Marketing Program
The goal of the agencies program is to facilitate the enhancement of the economic and intangible benefits that forest resources provide to society by (1) Providing technical and marketing assistance to forest based industries, (2) Creating new opportunities that can enable cost effective methods of reducing hazardous forest fuel levels, and (3) Identifying emerging markets for forest resources through collaborative work with state and federal agencies, and industrial organizations.

Arizona’s forest industries are comprised of many different firms and play an important role in maintaining healthy forests, while creating economic opportunity and providing jobs. In 2013, it is estimated that Arizona’s wood product manufacturers exported $40 million of finished goods to twenty‐six different countries.
