Fire Business System: Program Training

Fire Business System (FBS) Program

***Now Live***

The Department of Forestry and Fire Management is offering a new fire biling system - created as a one-stop-shop for all the needs of our cooperating fire departments and districts. As account holders, departments and district designated personnel can create Cooperative Fire Rate Agreements (CFRAs), add or remove personnel and equipment, and submit all billing documentation electronically. As of April 2023, DFFM has implemented the new system to *all* cooperating fire departments and districts.

To ensure a smooth transition into the new system, all cooperating agencies not already on the platform must submit an email to [email protected] providing your department/district's three letter identifier, your first and last name, phone number, and email. You must also indicate what role(s) the user needs. Users may have 1, 2, or all 3 roles and you may have multiple people in the same role:

Data Entry Role: enters the billing document. Note: this is the only role allowed for contractors.

Approver Role: verifies and approves (submits) the billing document created by the Data Entry role. This submits it to DFFM.

Personnel/Equipment Setup Role: allows entry and updating of both your personnel and equipment, CFRA. This role may also sign the CFRA.
