State Forestry's 12-member All Hazard Incident Management team is working in Saipan to provide temporary shelters to residents affected by the recent Super Typhoon that hit the area.

Prescribed Burn for Grasslands in Northeastern Arizona

Starting Tuesday, November 6th, the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management will begin a prescribed burn in Apache County, five miles northwest of Eagar. The Grasslands Rx Burn consists of burning 375 acres of hazardous vegetation on Game and Fish land in the White Mountain Grasslands Wildlife Area near Carnero Creek. Ignitions will begin between 9:30-10 a.m., depending on favorable weather conditions. Once ignitions are complete, crews will remain on the burn and monitor the fire.
