An increase in fire activity, along with dry and warm weather prompt the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management (DFFM) to implement Stage 1 fire restrictions on State Trust lands within parts of Central Arizona.
As a joint effort on this large, prescribed burn project southwest of Flagstaff, Coconino National Forest and Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management plan to conduct a 4,500-acre burn tomorrow through Friday to reduce forest fuels and reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfires.
